This past week was presentations from different learning pods. The one in particular I really enjoyed was Goosechase. I thought this was a great example of gamifying the classroom that could arguably be used in any subject and grade level because the content can be so tailored to the learners.
I went and checked out their Template Library and there is lots of free content they provide.
It’s also great that they are a Canadian company and so in accordance with FIPPA. However, the PRICE. I’m shocked that if you want more than 3 teams to play you either need to make multiple accounts (which defeats the purpose of being able to monitor all incoming responses) or pay over 200 dollars. Likewise, there’s no subsidized version for teachers or education professionals. I understand that you could just have all the students play against one another, but I think this removes the collaboration element the team format provides.
Either way I will definitely use this in my future classroom!
