1, 2, 3 repeat after me….

This week I decided to branch into my most hated area, mathematics. But nothing too intense, just counting. I found this amazing website published by Pearson called Mondly. It has language learning resources for so many languages.

I started with reading the Spanish numbers article on Mondly Afterwards, I went to youtube so that I could learn the pronunciation.

Video from Butterfly Spanish on YouTube.

I ran through the video once, then I started memorizing the spelling and patterns before practicing my pronunciation. Similar to Italian, I love that the numbers change (meaning 80 and 90 don’t use the same construction) because this is an aspect of French number patterns that I despise.

It took me about an hour to get the number down and throughout the week I keep mentally reciting the list or trying to count for small things in Spanish for practice.

Also because I was curious, I learned “tengo veinticuatro anōs” because I wanted to exercise my previous verb work with my new numbers knowledge. So basically I’m set if a Spanish person ever asks my age 🙂

Hasta la próxima!
